VIA Health Partners maintains the highest level of respect for the privacy of its donors. In furtherance of our commitment to honor your rights, we have developed this Donor Privacy Policy to guide our staff and volunteers on how they may and may not use your personal information.
Please be aware that there are links to other web sites throughout our site for the purpose of providing more useful and complete information. VIA Health Partners has no control over the privacy policies and collection practices of those sites, and is not responsible for their content, collection and use of information, or freedom from errors or viruses. It is your responsibility to know when you are linking to a third party site, and to inform yourself of the privacy policy and information collection practices of those sites.

What Information We Collect
VIA Health Partners collects and uses various personal information from you that includes your name, title, company name, home and/or work addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, amount donated and for what purpose, your relationship to the deceased or honoree, and comments you share with our staff and volunteers. We abide by all donor requests and designations.
In addition, when you visit our websites, our servers may collect data including the name of your Internet service provider, click sources, the websites that you visit from our site, and your Internet Protocol (IP) address. This information can be used to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer our website, to help identify you, and to gather broad demographic information.
How We Use Your Information
We will not sell, trade, or share your personal information with anyone for any purpose not related to the mission of VIA Health Partners, nor will we send mailings on behalf of other organizations. VIA Health Partners uses your contact information to:

Furthermore, any personal information you provide may be transferred in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or other corporate transaction involving VIA Health Partners. We may also provide your contact information to third parties that perform functions on behalf of VIA Health Partners. If we do share your personal information with such third parties, we will specify that they are not to use your contact information for any other purpose.
Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we maintain physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to protect the information we collect from you. We have taken all standard industry precautions to protect you from the loss, misuse, or alteration of information you provide to us.
In addition, access to donor financial information is limited to staff and volunteers who need to process those data. Your financial information is not shared with any person, organization, or group who does not need to access those data.

VIA Health Partners subscribes to the Donor Bill of Rights.
Philanthropy is based on voluntary action for the common good. It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary to the quality of life. To assure that philanthropy merits the respect and trust of the general public, and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in the not-for-profit organizations and causes they are asked to support, we declare that all donors have these rights:

To be informed of the organization's mission, of the way the organization intends to use donated resources, and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.

To be informed of the identity of those serving on the organization's governing board, and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities.

To have access to the organization's most recent financial statements.

To be assured their gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.

To receive appropriate acknowledgment and recognition.

To be assured that information about their donations is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.

To expect that all relationships with individuals representing organizations of interest to the donor will be professional in nature.

To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees of the organization or hired solicitors.
